Body Text 101Body Text Definition and Usage! The body element defines the document's body. It contains all the contents of the document -- text, images, colors, graphics, etc. Body text is the text on a web page which appears between the opening "<-body>" and closing "<-/body>" tags that delimit the body section of the document. The tags themselves are not required if the document is HTML.
<-BODY> <-H1>My Home Page<-/H1> Hi There! <-/BODY> The search engines will crawl the body text of your pages frequently. You will want to use different tags in your body text such as H1, H2, H3 header tags as well as Bold Text tags, different font sizes, italic tags, and links on every page. You will benefit by using your main keyword phrase for each page near the beginning of your first paragraph.
